This year it was reported that beavers chewed through an underground fiber, affecting 900 customers for two days in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. The little devils chewed through a 4.5-inch conduit buried three feet underground.
It’s not uncommon for squirrels or gophers to dig a few inches for a nip out of fiber cable, but digging three feet to sever a 4.5-inch cable completely is taking it a bit too far, guys!
